About Me
Hi! I’m Paul Au — a Sacramento native, former biologist, and the web developer who will obsess over your website so you don’t have to.
My path here wasn’t exactly conventional. I studied biology at UC Davis (go Aggies!) and went on to do research in the Department of Anesthesia at UCSF. Then a friend introduced me to the web, and something clicked. I made a full pivot, traded the lab for the laptop, and never looked back.
That was 15 years ago. Since then I’ve built countless websites and web applications for businesses across Sacramento and Bay Area — and I bring the same detail-oriented, analytical mindset from my science days to every project I take on.
Illustrations
I have always had a love of drawing. In addition to my work as a developer/designer, I have developed a passion for digital illustrations using tools such as Adobe Illustrator and ProCreate. See examples of my work below.
